It took a lot of people to help make my kiwi study happen and keep my field work running smoothly. As well as the supervisors, funders and corporate partners mentioned elsewhere on this site, I had a huge team of very dedicated volunteers who helped me track, catch, tag and monitor the little spotted kiwi in my study. Whether it was a four hour nest stake out to catch a chick for DNA sampling or a two hour hike to collect tag data from an errant bird, these people were always eager to help and remained enthusiastic in the face of my enduring cynicism.
